Haven News
Our Yacht Haven is located on "The Gem of Lake Huron",
just off of the eastern tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The surprise of a life time awaits you. 136 miles of
shoreline, with 40 inland lakes -- AND -- 50 outlying
islands, with isolated coves and some of the best fishing
waters in the Great Lakes -- or just cruise or sail through
our beautiful, island dotted waters.
Cottages
We have nineteen cottages, both two bedroom and three
bedroom and one four bedroom, nestled in the wooded
shoreline. All of them boast beautiful views of
Potagannissing Bay and the islands surrounding the north
shoe of Drummond Island. Three bedroom and the four bedroom
cottages have stone fireplaces with plenty of kindling and
wood, at no charge. The four bedroom has a hot tup on the
deck. Fresh linens and kitchen utensils are provided. There
is a swimming dock and sandy beach available. Naturally, we
provide you with dock space if you bring your own boat.
Each season at our resort offers something different. In
autumn, experience the grandeur of the fall colors, as the
islands turn red and yellow. Duck, Partridge and Woodcock
abound for hunters. Deer hunting on Drummond is famous.
Winter brings ice fishing on the
bay. Snowmobile the many miles of prepared trails. Cross
country skiers have the advantage of reaching many places
that are inaccessible during other seasons.
Spring offers unparalleled Perch fishing and the
incomparable experience of hunting for the king of mushrooms
-- the morel. We'll even send you a card when the perch run
begins.
Summer is remarkable. In addition to the attractions of
the surrounding waters and islands, on shore you can golf at
Woodmoor, ranked in the top ten in Michigan. Hiking or
mountain biking is superb, with trails everywhere. Of
Drummonds 87000 acres, 50% are State owned.
