March 12, 2012
- 5:07 pm update. - High Temps of 50 and 60 degrees over the weekend put the BIG HURT on all of the snowmobile trails in Northern Lower Michigan and the U.P. - The forecast is not any prettiers with highs in the 40s and 50s through the week. Snowmobile trails are legally open through March 31, 2012. There is still some snow in the woods of the snow belts of the U.P., but even that may be gone within the week with the high temperatures that we are seeing. Nothing in the immediate forecast looks good, however, if we get a big snow storm later in the month we'll let you know. Otherwise, have a good spring and summer and fall!
WESTERN U.P. TRAIL REPORT - 03/12/2012 - In all likelihood, this is your final report for the season, mainly because the bases are gone. Temps for the week will be in the 60s with rain today. Because MI trails don't officially close until March 31st, should we get an unexpected storm of two or three feet, we'll be back and keep you informed as to just what is what. Our sincere thanks for riding with us this year... we love having you come to Big Snow Country!!! ...
